Why the association exists
Sofia’s medical costs have long exceeded what one family can reasonably carry alone. The association exists so support can be collected and documented separately from the family’s personal finances.
The family publishes updates, retains relevant documents and presents medical costs as they are communicated by the treating teams. Personal medical identifiers are redacted when documents are made public.

The association publishes relevant documentation with Sofia’s identifying data protected. Available materials include the UKBB Basel medical report, preoperative cost estimate, surgical estimate, fiscal registration certificate and disability/medical records used to document the case.
Estimated quote – spinal surgery
This document presents the expected cost of Sofia’s spinal surgery, including the planned hospital stay, free choice of physician and comfort services for an estimated 10 days.
Estimated quote – preoperative investigations
This estimate covers MRI, X-rays, interdisciplinary consultations and the planned 5-day preoperative admission required before surgery.
